[20 August 2004] losing a friend...
It seems I have an abundance of sad news lately. However, I believe that once the bad stuff is out of the way, the good stuff will start flooding back into our lives so it's just a question of hanging in there.

[23 July 2004] catching up
It's been a hectic week. My dad was taken to hospital last Wednesday after a fall left him in terrible pain in his shoulder. He has an inoperable DVT [deep vein thrombosis] which means he is now on warfarin. Add to that osteo arthritis which can't be treated with drugs due to the warfarin and you get a recipe for constant pain.
